RockHounds come out on top in pitcher's duel

The Midland RockHounds defeated the Arkansas Travelers, 2-0.

Texas Tech sophomore quarterback Alan Bowman was the first Red Raider recognized on a preseason watch list Monday afternoon as he was named a preseason candidate for the prestigious Maxwell Award, which honors the nation’s most outstanding player.

First year Texas Tech Red Raiders Head Coach, Matt Wells, fielded questions at his first Big 12 Media Day.

Midland RockHounds' shortstop, Kevin Merrell, was traded to the Kansas City Royals organization. The Royals assigned Merrell to AA North Western Arkansas Naturals.

The man who has been throwing the heat at 100 MPH, Red Raider Pitcher John McMillon, will return to Texas Tech for his Senior Season.
