WJCAC & Region V release All-Conference and All-Region teams

The WJCAC released its all-conference teams this week, along with the All-Region team by the NJCAA Region V.

For the men side, Odessa College first year head coach Kris Baumann was named the WJCAC coach of the year. Wrangler sophomore forward Dimon Carrigan was also honored as the defensive player of the year and was named to the All-Conference first team.

Joining Carrigan on the first team was OC teammates Jawaun Daniels and James Reese. Reese was also named to the Region V All-Region team.

Midland College's Montre Gipson & Howard College's Matthew Johnson and Garrick Green were named to the WJCAC first team, with the Hawk's Green named to the All-Region team as well for Region V.

On the girls side, Odessa College's Kamryn Lemon was named as the WJCAC newcomer of the year. She was also named to the All-Conference & All-Region first team.

Joining her on both of those first teams was Midland College's Grace Beasley.

Her teammate Ogechi Nwodo, as well was, Howard College's Corbyn Cunningham were also named to the All-Conference first team.
