MHS alum McLane Mannix talks transfer to Texas Tech & his return to West Texas

MIDLAND - Former Midland High & Midland Christian Wide Receiver McLane Mannix is coming home.

Last month, the former freshman All-American, announced via Twitter, he was transferring to Texas Tech from Nevada.

According to Nevada Sports Net, Mannix left the Wolf Pack due to medical issues with his mother For the next two seasons, his mother would have not been able to see him play at Nevada.

By playing at Texas Tech, she will now be able to attend all of his home games in Lubbock.

In his exclusive interview with CBS 7, Mannix talked about the other schools who were interested in him, if he has talked with any Texas Tech players already and how he sees himself fitting in the Texas Tech offense.
