Woman arrested after binding herself to machinery to protest Trans-Pecos Pipeline

PRESIDIO COUNTY -- A woman was arrested after binding herself to machinery at the Trans-Pecos Pipeline.

Anna Kruger, 21, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, a State Jail Felony.

According to the Presidio County Sheriff's Office, their deputies responded to a protest south of Marfa on U.S. 67.

When deputies arrived at the scene they found a woman, identified as Kruger, who had bound herself to machinery.

PCSO reports that the binding was a mix of bolts, cement, chains, duct tape, PVC pipe, tar, and wire. It took deputies 45 minutes to remove Kruger from the binding.

She was then charged and arrested before being taken to the Presidio County Jail.
