UPDATE: Woman arrested after Friday night shooting in West Odessa

ECTOR COUNTY, Tx (KOSA) -- Two people were shot and another person was arrested in West Odessa on Friday night, according to the Ector County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded in the area of Tomahawk and Mexia around 9 p.m. in reference to gunshot victims.

ECSO said they found one male and one female had been shot.

Both people were transported to Medical Center Hospital. Their condition is still unknown at this time.

Authorities went on a short pursuit with the suspect's vehicle - it ended in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Knox and 3rd Street.

ECSO states 29-year-old Bernadette Hernandez got out of her vehicle with a gun.

She is in custody and has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and has a $600,000 bond.

The sheriff's office is still investigating the reason for the shooting.
