Two people die in crash west of Dryden

A three-vehicle crash east of Dryden left two people dead on Tuesday.

According to the Terrell County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened along Highway 90 around 5:30 a.m.

The sheriff's office says that two 18-wheelers crashed head-on when one of the trucks crossed into oncoming traffic.

A third vehicle then crashed into the 18-wheelers. The driver told authorities that they couldn't see the wreckage in the darkness.

Two people in one of the 18-wheelers were killed in the crash. Two people in the third vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash shut down the highway for eight hours.

The victims have not been identified at this time.
