DAWSON COUNTY -- A teenage boy was killed and six others, including children, were hurt in a rollover crash on Sunday morning.

According to DPS, their troopers were called out to a crash on U.S. Highway 87 five miles north of Lamesa just after 7 a.m.
When the troopers arrived at the scene they found a crash involving a Nissan Pathfinder.
A total of seven people were riding in the SUV and all but one were taken to University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock for treatment.
The seventh passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock where he passed away.
The driver, a 16-year-old girl, and her passengers, an 8-year-old boy, a 10-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, another 8-year-old boy and 50-year-old Rudy Salazar of Colorado Springs, Colorado are all being treated for life-threatening injuries.
An investigation of the crash revealed that the Pathfinder was traveling south on U.S. 87 when it left the roadway and rolled.
DPS says that no one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt at the time.
