Shots fired call leads to three arrests in Odessa

ODESSA -- Three men were arrested after police responded to a report of shots being fired on Wednesday.

Jesiah Villescas has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation (Parole Violation Warrant), a 2nd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, a 3rd Degree Felony, and Driving While License Invalid, a Class B Misdemeanor.

Gabriel Poindexter has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a State Jail Felony.

Jesus Villescas has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a 3rd Degree Felony.

According to the Odessa Police Department, their officers were called to the 1200 block of South Jackson at 1 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of shots being fired.

As police made their way to the scene they saw a blue Dodge Charger matching the description of the suspect's vehicle, and they tried to pull it over.

The Charger continued driving and making several turns before it eventually stopped on Gulf.

The driver was then identified as Jesiah and the passengers were identified as Poindexter and Jesus.

According to police, a Glock pistol, a 30 round magazine, THC oil and drug paraphernalia were all found in the Charger. They also learned that Jesiah had a warrant out for his arrest and that Jesus was a convicted felon.

All three men where then charged and arrested accordingly.
