ALPINE -- Helicopters, a search dog and more than 100 people from the Alpine community are helping search for Zuzu Verk.

The Alpine Police Chief tells CBS 7 they're using resources from law enforcement agencies across West Texas to help search for Verk.

The aircraft is covering the outlying areas of Alpine, while the community takes care of areas where Verk would walk her dog or hike trails, as Verk is known to be an avid hiker.

On Sunday, Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson took flight in an El Paso Customs and Border Protection helicopter.

"At this point we are looking for anything and everything. We have very limited info as to what might have happened to Zuzu," Alpine Police Chief Russell Scown said.
