MIDLAND -- The historic Scarborough-Lineberry opened its doors for its annual Christmas open house.
Filled with Christmas trees, lights, and plenty of sweets. Volunteers welcomed Midlanders into the grand home for free tours Sunday.
Organizers use these open houses as a fun way to get people into the Christmas spirit, as well as teach them about the history of the house that’s stood since 1907.
Curator Frances Stapp says she’s hosted Christmas open houses for years, and is always pleased to see people taking interest in the historic building.
“It makes me feel good because myself and my volunteers have put in a lot of time and work and love. And we see people enjoying it and that’s what it’s all about,” said Frances Stapp, Curator.
The open house was for one day only, but private tours of the Scarborough-Lineberry house can be scheduled by calling 432-685-7368.
