Jerome McNally, 60, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On Tuesday evening the Howard County Dispatch received a call of a gunshot victim in the 2500 block of Langley.

Officers with the Big Spring Police Department responded to the scene and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower back. The victim was then taken to the hospital and was later transported to a hospital in Lubbock where he is now listed in stable condition.

According to the Big Spring Police Department, their investigation revealed that there had been an argument at the home just before the shooting happened between the victim and his father, identified as McNally.

Police say that the argument moved outside where McNally allegedly pulled out a gun and shot at his son several times, hitting him once.

McNally was then taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
