Suspect in Pecos County shooting identified

PECOS COUNTY, Tx. (KOSA) -- Wednesday, May 15 Update: The suspect in last week's shooting has been identified.

Joshua Gross, 28, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 1st Degree Felony, and two counts of Abandoning or Endangering a Child, a 2nd Degree Felony.

According to an arrest affidavit, on May 7 the Pecos County Sheriff's Office and Texas Rangers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of North Gatlin.

When authorities arrived they learned that a victim, identified as Kwaemee Mosby, had been shot inside of a home.

At the hospial, Mosby identified Gross as the shooter to authorities. Gross was then charged and arrested.

No other details have been released at this time.

One person is recovering in the hospital after being shot on Tuesday night near Fort Stockton.

According to the Pecos County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened along North Gatlin.

The sheriff's office says that no suspects are in custody.

No names have been released at this time as the investigation continues.
