Thieves use forklift to steal ATM from Odessa bank
Heavy machinery was used to steal from an Odessa bank overnight.
A stolen forklift was used to steal an ATM from the AIM Bank on Tres Hermanas Boulevard.
The forklift was left at the scene.
According to the Odessa Police Department, the ATM has now been recovered.
No arrests have been made at this time as police continue their investigation.
AIM Bank released the following statement on the theft:
"AimBank Odessa had an ATM theft incident on July 3rd. There were no employees present at the time and no injuries are reported. Local law enforcement was promptly contacted early in the morning to help resolve this issue. There was an undisclosed amount of money taken from the ATM, and the ATM has been recovered. We would like to thank our law enforcement for their attention in this matter."
