One teen killed, another injured in rollover crash
One teen is dead and another is injured following a crash Friday night.
According to DPS, their troopers responded to a crash on Highway 385 in Andrews County at 7:18 p.m.
When troopers arrived on scene they found a crash involving a single vehicle.
The driver, 16-year-old Jordan Muschalek of Odessa was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
The passenger, 14-year-old Hayden Muschalek passed away from his injuries.
According to DPS, Jordan was driving north on Highway 385 when their vehicle began to veer off the roadway. It was then that they over corrected, causing it to roll.
Both teens were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Jordan and Hayden both attended Permian High School.
A family member tells CBS 7 the family has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from the community, and that Jordan has now been released from the hospital.
He says Hayden was a well-rounded kid, who loved playing basketball. His funeral is set for Tuesday at Crossroads Church
