One of four Big Lots armed robbery suspects sentenced

Ashton Kenimer, 19.

ODESSA -- One of four suspects arrested in connection to a robbery of Big Lots has been convicted.

According to the Ector County District Attorney's Office, 19-year-old Ashton Kenimer was found guilty of Armed Robbery, a 1st Degree Felony.

District Attorney Bobby Bland tells CBS 7 that Kenimer was sentenced to serve five years probation.

Kenimer, along with Damon Bars, Devorjay Tinner, and Michael Stoglin were arrested in August of 2017 by Odessa police.

Arrest affidavits state that three of the suspects, Bars, Tinner, and Stoglin, wore masks as they robbed the Big Lots on Andrews Highway with guns, which was caught on surveillance footage.

Additional footage from another location showed the same masked suspects in a red car with a driver identified as Kenimer.

In an interview with detectives Kenimer admitted to driving the other three to Big Lots for the robbery.

According to Bland, the other three suspects are waiting to face trial.
