Motorcyclist dies following crash in Odessa

ODESSA, Tx. (KOSA) -- UPDATE: The motorcyclist involved in Monday morning's crash has passed away.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Robert Lavernee Bradshaw III.

According to the Odessa Police Department, their officers were called to the intersection of Dixie and Clements at 6:18 a.m. for a crash.

When police arrived at the scene they found a crash involving a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The motorcyclist, identified as Bradshaw, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later passed away on Tuesday morning.

An investigation of the crash revealed that Bradshaw was traveling south on Dixie while the Tahoe, driven by 40-year-old Jose Zorrilla Jr. was traveling north.

Police say that Zorrilla failed to yield the right of way when turning left and struck Bradshaw.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Drivers are urged to avoid the intersection at this time as police investigate the accident.

Police had previously said that the crash was fatal. They now say that one person was seriously injured.

According to our crew at the scene, a motorcycle and another vehicle were involved in the crash.
