ODESSA, Tx. (KOSA) -- Odessa police have arrested a man who they say shot at his girlfriend following a disturbance.
Eric Llanez Rodriguez, 24, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a 2nd Degree Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a 3rd Degree Felony, Deadly Conduct - Discharge Firearm, a 3rd Degree Felony, and Forgery (Warrant), a State Jail Felony.
According to the Odessa Police Department, their officers were called to the intersection of 35th and Muskingum on Thursday afternoon for a report of shots being fired.
When police arrived they found a car had been shot several times. Their investigation revealed that there had been a disturbance between a man identified as Rodriguez and his girlfriend.
Police say that Rodriguez chased her and shot at her several times while she was driving away. No one was hurt in the shooting.
Later that day officers found Rodriguez and took him into custody. Police then learned that he had a warrant out for his arrest and several felony convictions.
Rodriguez was then charged and arrested accordingly.
