Odessa police searching for bank robbery suspect

ODESSA, Tx. (KOSA) -- The Odessa Police Department is searching for a suspect who robbed Compass Bank on Wednesday.

According to OPD, their officers were called to Compass Bank at 3809 East 42nd Street at 12:20 p.m.

Officers learned that a man entered the bank and gave a note to a teller with a handgun in his hand. The man then left the bank and drove away in a white truck with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a thin white male with light-colored eyes, approximately 6’ tall and 180 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, glasses and a surgical mask. Police believe that the man is using oxygen as he was wearing an oxygen tube.

He was seen driving away in a white 4X4 (2009-2018) Dodge Ram (2500 or 3500). The bed of the truck has a diamond plate auxiliary fuel tank and the front doors possibly had a company logo that was covered with tape.
