New Mexico man dies in crash west of Andrews

ANDREWS COUNTY -- A New Mexico man was killed in a crash west of Andrews on Tuesday morning.

The victim has been identified as Curtis Cobb, 63, of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The other driver involved in the crash, 61-year-old Napoleon Espinosa-Morales of Odessa was taken to Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to DPS, their troopers responded to a crash at the intersection of State Highway 176 at FM 181 at 9:27 a.m.

When the troopers arrived at the scene they found a crash involving two truck tractors.

DPS says that Cobb was traveling south on FM 181 while Morales was driving west on State Highway 176.

According to DPS, Cobb failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign of the intersection and crashed into Morales.

DPS says that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time.
