MIDLAND - Authorities say that the remains of a body have been discovered in Midland County and that another body may be found soon.

Ashley Marie Cruz-Rodriguez and John Raymond Iglesia-Alvarez have been missing since October of 2015.

According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, the remains are believed to be that of a female. The body will be sent to a forensic anthropologist in Tarrant County to be identified and to find a cause of death.

Authorities believe they will find another body at the same location later today.

Sheriff Gary Painter says that this case may be related to a situation in October of 2015 where two teenagers went missing.

The owner of the property where the body was found is not a person of interest in the case.

Sheriff Painter says that individuals came forward with information leading them to search the area.

Midland County Deputies and agents with the FBI were reported working some sort of scene out in the county.

They were working in the vicinity of West County Road 116 and South County Road 1227. A large portion of the area was blocked off.
Details are still very limited at this hour.

A press release will be held at the Midland County Sheriff's Office starting at 1:15 p.m.

CBS 7 will update this story throughout the day as more information is released.
