A pilot out of Marfa is in critical condition after a plane crashed in Mineral Wells Wednesday night.

According to the FAA, one of the passengers of the plane told them that they had engine trouble before losing power and going down just short of the runway at the Mineral Wells Airport.

According to

, the pilot and front seat passenger were rushed to the hospital after the crash.

The passenger riding in the rear seat was able to walk away from the crash uninjured.

DPS confirmed that the crash was caused by a power failure.
