Odessa police charge man with taking 85-year-old man's cash and Lincoln Town Car

ODESSA -- A man was arrested and charged after he reportedly ripped out a phone cord from the wall of a car dealership and robbed an 85-year-old man of $1,200 and a Lincoln Town Car, the Odessa American reports.

Clarence Anderson, 31, was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and interference with emergency telephone call, a class A misdemeanor.

The incident occurred at 1:07 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Davis Auto located at 419 Dixie Ave., an Odessa Police Department affidavit stated.

L.C. Davis Jr., 85, stated a man assaulted him and stole $1,200 and a 1999 blue Lincoln Town Car he was selling, the affidavit detailed.
