MPD Officer Zack Owens released from the hospital

Midland Police Officer Zack Owens has been released from the hospital after he was hurt in a shootout with Saturday's mass shooting suspect.
Officer Owens was receiving treatment at Medical Center Hospital and was released on Wednesday morning.
According to the Midland Police Department, Officer Owens is now heading to see a specialist in Alabama who will be evaluating his eye and may perform corrective surgeries.
