ECTOR COUNTY -- A teenager was taken into custody after officials say he drove intoxicated and hit several stop signs and fences.
Ector County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of 16th and Redondo regrading a black Chevrolet Avalanche with Mexico tags that was involved in a several hit and runs involving fences and stop signs.
When officers arrived on scene they located the truck and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit ended about 5 minutes later, when the driver lost control and struck a power pole at Dunn and Stephanie.
The 15-year-old then fled on foot, but was quickly taken into custody.
The juvenile was intoxicated and transported to Medical Center Hospital for minor injuries.
Charges are pending and the investigation continues.
