Kermit police searching for game room robbery suspect

KERMIT -- Kermit police have arrested one suspect and are looking for another after a game room was robbed in August.

According to the Kermit Police Department, the Coyote Moon game room at 117 West Austin Street was robbed on August 6.

The manager of the game room told police that a black woman had entered the building and was joined shortly after by a white man. The duo could be seen on security camera footage talking to each other.

The man then took a money bag with $2,000 from a game room employee as the woman stood by.

An investigation of the case identified the woman as 28-year-old Tamanaca Rushing of Monahans and the man as 19-year-old Melvin Christopher Mitchell of Joshua, Texas.

On August 24 Rushing was arrested and charged with Robbery, a 2nd Degree Felony.
