Gov. Abbott: Bars may reopen Friday, restaurants can expand to 50% capacity
Governor Greg Abbott held a news conference on Monday afternoon where he shared his plan for Phase 2 of reopening the Texas economy.
Gov. Abbott announced the following changes:
-Bars, wine tasting rooms and craft breweries can reopen at 25% capacity on Friday, May 22.
-Restaurants can open at up to 50% capacity on Friday, May 22
-Childcare centers/families, Massage and Personal Care Beauty Services, Youth Clubs, and Youth Sports Operators may reopen today, May 18.
-Bowling alleys, bingo halls, simulcasting, skating rinks, rodeo/equestrian events, zoos, aquariums and natural caverns may reopen on Friday, May 22.
-Youth camps and professional sports without in-person spectators may resume on Sunday, May 31.
