Vehicles burn in West Odessa, investigators concerned about trash on site

WEST ODESSA -- Trash and old vehicles found at the site of vehicle fires in West Odessa are concerning investigators.

On Thursday afternoon firefighters responded to the 13000 block of West Doris Drive for a call of an outside fire.

When they arrived on scene they found several vehicles on fire.

Firefighters learned that people at the address had been working on a van when it suddenly caught on fire. The flames then got out of control, promoting a 911 call.

Firefighters on scene were able to quickly take the fire under control.

A firefighter tells CBS 7 that environmental investigators may take over the case as a trash and junk vehicles were found at the scene. As of now they believe the cause of the fire was accidental.

Along with vans being burned beyond recognition a garage with tools on scene was burned in the fire.
