Last week's storm is leaving behind a huge bill for damage.

According to Mark Hanna of the Insurance Council of Texas, an estimated $480 million of damage is believed to have been caused by the storm, which only lasted around 30 minutes.

Hanna says that without a doubt the City of Odessa was hit with a catastrophic hailstorm.

"I can go back 20 to 30 years, I don't remember any hailstorm or even a tornado occurring in the Midland-Odessa area that caused this much significant damage," said Hanna.

According to the Insurance Council of Texas, at least 35,000 vehicles were left damaged. Thousands of homes and commercial buildings also felt the impact of the storm.

The Council urges that anyone who had their vehicle or home damaged be cautious when shopping for repairs.
