An employee at an Odessa nursing home has tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the Ector County Health Department, the person who tested positive works at Focused Care at Odessa.

However, a Focused Care spokesperson said that person also works at two of their other nursing homes in Monahans and Crane. She was at all three locations the day she was tested for the virus, but didn't show any symptoms.

So far, one staff member at Crane's Focused Care home has tested positive.

This announcement comes days after testing was done at the nursing home on Monday.

The employee was asymptomatic and is now in isolation.

All employees at the nursing home must go through a screening process before entering the facility.

Focus Care reportedly contacted all family members of residents and staff members to notify them of the test results.

Their management said if staff members test positive, they cannot return to treat residents again until they have tested negative for COVID-19 twice.
