DPS Needs Help in San Angelo Double Murder

Texas DPS needs your help in a 1988 unsolved double murder from San Angelo.

Shane Stewart and Sally McNelly, of San Angelo attended a fireworks show at Lake Nasworthy on July 4, 1988, the following morning Stewart's abandoned camero was found by a lake ranger near the O.C. Fisher Reservoir. The couple was reported as missing.

Later that year in November their bodies were discovered near the Twin Buttes Resevoir.

Autopsies revealed both Stewart and McNelly had been shot.

San Angelo Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the deaths of Stewart and McNelly.

To be eligible for the cash reward, the tip must be submitted by calling 1-800-756-3434 or visiting the San Angelo Crime Stoppers website
