Midland home a total loss after fire

MIDLAND -- 4:10 p.m. Friday Update: New details have been released on Thursday's fire.

According to the City of Midland, no one was hurt in the fire but the house was a total loss.

The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time and remains under investigation.

According to a Midland Battalion Chief on scene, he says that the fire has been put out.

The Battalion Chief also tells us that the initial call came in at around 9:15PM Thursday night of a structure fire.

They found a home fully engulfed in flames, but managed to eventually put it out.

Midland Fire tells us that the home was badly damaged but it's not known if it's a total loss, they also don't know a cause yet.

No one was home at the time of the fire, there were no injuries reported.

Crews are on the scene of a house fire just north of Midland.

According to viewer reports, the house on fire is located on the corner of Corral and Honeysuckle, which is in the Betenbough Homes subdivision 'Lonestar trails'.

We do not know if anyone was hurt in this fire.

CBS7 has reached out to the City of Midland for information, but have yet to hear back.
