COAHOMA -- Coahoma ISD has a new superintendent.
In a meeting on Tuesday night, the Coahoma ISD Board of Trustees named Brad Cox to the role.
Cox had served the district as assistant superintendent since 2014 and has 17 years of experience in education.
He's taking the role after Dr. Amy Jacobs announced that she was leaving the position in October to work with nonprofits.
“Dr. Amy Jacobs has set CISD along a great path,” Cox said in a release. “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with the CISD board and staff in continuing this path for our students and community.”
