Escaped inmate arrested in Midland

MIDLAND COUNTY -- 10 a.m. Tuesday Update: According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Taijavee Vashnique Dean was found at the Park Glenn Apartments and has been taken into custody.

Dean reportedly gave Midland police officers false identifying information but admitted her real identity at the Midland County Jail.

She will now be arraigned on additional charges following her escape.

Authorities are searching for an inmate after they escaped from the Midland County Detention Center on Monday.

According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, 26-year-old Taijavee Vashnique Dean was being held for Failure To Appear in County Court at Law on a charge of Failure To Identify when she escaped around 6 p.m.with someone's help.

She was last seen heading on foot towards the pretrial offices.

Dean is now wanted for Escape from a County Jail, a 3rd Degree Felony, which is punishable by up to 10 years in jail and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
