Apache cutting dozens of jobs in Midland
Apache Corp. is sending 85 Midland workers home in response to the oil crash.
The company told state workforce officials layoffs began Wednesday and will continue through May 18, according to the Midland Reporter-Telegraph.
The affected employees work at the facility on Veterans Airpark Lane.
Apache has already cut $650 million, or about a third, from this year's capital budget used to fund oil exploration and production.
