Andrews girls golf breaks Texas state record with 9th straight title win

ANDREWS (KOSA) — The Andrews girls golf did it again, the Lady Mustangs won their 9th straight 4A girls golf state title on Tuesday winning by 29 strokes.

The wins break a state record of eight consecutive state golf championships with Booker, who won titles from 1986-1993.

Andrews finished with a 649 overall. Leading the way was senior Skyler Strube who shot a 153 in the two day tourney. Lady Mustangs team is also made up of Paige Jennings, Alyssa Gerhardt, Jordyn Hall and Brynlee Dyas.

This is also the 17th title win for the Andrews golf program.
