Alpine Police seeking information on two vehicles involving missing woman

UPDATE -- 11:31 PM: Chief of Police Russell Scown tells CBS 7 that the volunteer search for Zuzu Verk ended just before 9:00 PM this evening.

There will be no further searches unless law enforcement gets more leads on the story.

Nearly 150 volunteers searched all of Alpine and the greater area.

Customs and Border Protection sent two helicopters to aid in the search.

A family friend tells CBS 7 that more of Verk's family members will be in Alpine tomorrow.


The Alpine Police Department is asking for the public's help involving missing Alpine woman Zuzu Verk.

Police are seeking anyone who may have seen a grey 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2004 Mazda Miata covertable with a beige top being driven between the hours of midnight and 10:00 AM on Wednesday.
