It appears Planned Parenthood will be reopening in West Texas within the next year.
The Dallas Morning News reports a donor has promised $9 million to build two new health centers in our area.
The group has not said whether the new clinics would be abortion providers.
Both clinics in Midland and San Angelo closed in 2013, shortly after the state passed restrictions on on groups that perform abortions.
There are currently 35 Planned Parenthood health centers in the state, of which six offer abortions. The majority of its locations are clustered around major metro areas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin.
The construction timeline and specific locations of the two centers have not been determined.
