WEATHER AUTHORITY UPDATE: Great weekend on the way

A very quiet weather pattern is shaping up for the weekend with nothing really to deal with other than a few low clouds in the morning and high clouds in the afternoon. Temperatures will unseasonably mild to warm over the area and will range from the mid 70's in the Permian Basin to the low 80's in the Presidio the weather looks great for all the Christmas parades and tree lightings going on Saturday. The big changes will hold off until Tuesday when a strong cold front barrels through West Texas dropping temperatures into the 40's and 50's and gusty winds. A passing disturbance will move through late on Wednesday bringing the possibility of some light rain and even light snow to the mountains of West Texas. At this time any accumulations look very light and travel problems are not expected.
