18-year-old girl passes away after drowning in Gardendale

An 18-year-old girl has died after drowning in Gardendale.
According to the Ector County Sheriff's Office, their deputies were called to the 17000 block of Zinnia Avenue on Tuesday afternoon for a report of a drowning victim.
When deputies arrived they were told that the victim, an 18-year-old girl, had been taken to Medical Center Hospital.
The girl, Skylyn Duke, passed away at the hospital.
Duke's body will be taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
The sheriff's office says that their investigation is ongoing.
