ECTOR COUNTY -- A massive plume of smoke could be seen for miles after an 18-wheeler caught on fire Friday morning.
According to the Ector County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the truck was travelling along FM 866 near Highway 302 when he noticed that a tire had caught on fire.
He then pulled over to the shoulder where the entire truck became engulfed in flames.
Crews responded to the scene and were able to put the fire out but the truck was completely destroyed. No one was hurt in the fire.
