Tom Tefertiller is the Chief Meteorologist at CBS7. He began his broadcasting career in south Texas for a couple of years before moving to the Permian Basin in 1994.

With over 20 years experience forecast West Texas weather, he has been a constant and reliable source of weather information for the Permian Basin for more than two decades.

Tom has received numerous Associated Press awards including Best Weathercast, State of Texas Division III two times and has been named runner up for Best Weathercast, State of Texas Division 3 twice.

In Tom’s free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Joan, his daughter Amy and three grandchildren, Shelby, Hollie and Jensen, storm chasing and enjoying nature.
