Per DPS:One dead in Midland County crash

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) -

UPDATE 9:50 AM: An Andrews woman has died in a crash on the 7500 block of Highway 80 in Midland County.

A semi was stopped on Hwy 80 blocking both westbound lanes. The semi was attempting to turn into the eastbound lanes of Hwy 80. A Ford Bronco was driving westbound on Hwy 80 in the left lane. The Bronco attempted to avoid the crash but struck the rear of the semi.

The driver of the Bronco, Stephanie Stokes, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a spokesperson with DPS, troopers are working on a fatal crash on 7500 W. Highway 80.

The crash involved a commercial vehicle.
