ANDREWS COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) -UPDATE: DPS Troopers say 54-year-old Alfredo Oyervides Sanchez died in a two vehicle crash Wednesday.
Troopers say the driver of an 18-wheeler drifted into the oncoming lane of FM 1788, one mile south of SH 176, hitting a Chevy Corvette head-on.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was treated and released from Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

DPS Troopers are confirming that one person was killed in a crash between an 18-wheeler and a passenger car Wednesday afternoon.
It happened near the intersection of FM 1788 and State Highway 176.
One patient from the crash was taken by AIRMED from the scene and later died from their injuries.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
A portion of FM 1788 was closed for several hours.
That road is back open.
