MPD Blue Santa Toy Drive at Classic Honda in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Classic Honda partnered with the Midland Police Department for a Blue Santa Toy Drive.

This is the first year the Midland Police Department is doing Blue Santa.

All the toys will be given to the children at High Sky’s Children’s Ranch and a local women and children’s shelter.

“We’re here for our community and if we can reach out and help out a couple of lives and bring a little bit of hope and joy to them, we love to do that,” said Chane Blandford, an MPD police officer.

However, Classic Honda wanted to do even more for Christmas this year.

“We’re going to give out two $500 gift cards to families that are in need,” said Joey Gabarda, the owner of Classic Honda Midland.

MPD decided to add to this Christmas gift as well.

“I like your idea. At the Midland Police Department we would like to help you out with that and give you an additional gift card for wherever that family is. What do you say, $100 for each family?” Blandford said.

The Blue Santa Toy Drive is taking donations at Classic Honda in Midland through December 10th.
