MARFA, Texas (KOSA) - The Architecture Office of artist Donald Judd caught fire in Marfa early Friday morning.

According to the Marfa Police Department, firefighters responded to a fire at the Judd Architecture Office on North Highland Avenue around midnight.

The street was blocked off as firefighters worked to put out the fire and monitor the building for hot spots.

In a Facebook post, the Judd Foundation stated that the building was under restoration and was empty.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Donald Judd was an artist who installed several popular art pieces around the town of Marfa. He died in 1994.
