$6,000 reward offered for info in Midland hit-and-run

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Midland police are searching for a truck they say was involved in an auto-pedestrian crash in Midland on the night of June 2.

According to the Midland Police Department, officers were called to the 5000 block of Andrews Highway at 8:35 p.m. for a crash involving a pedestrian.

When police arrived, they found that a teenager was trying to cross the road when they were hit by a truck. The driver drove away from the scene at a high rate of speed.

The teenager was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the truck was last seen traveling south on Midland Drive near Cuthbert. It is described as an older model white Ford F-150 with a white headache rack and a toolbox in the truck bed. Several large items were seen in the bed of the truck. It is believed that the truck will have damage to the front grill.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case will be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward from Midland Crime Stoppers and an additional $5,000 from a private donor. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
