Midland County Sheriff’s Office unveils new uniforms
MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Deputies with the Midland County Sheriff’s Office will soon be sporting new uniforms.
The uniforms are made of a breathable material that is better suited for the west Texas climate.
Deputies from all agencies will wear the same style of uniform so they can be better identified when responding to calls.
Sheriff David Criner says he’s excited about the change and believes it represents the department moving forward in a positive direction.
“I’m just really excited about where this agency is going and the enthusiasm of the officers. I’m excited for them and the way they look. That command presence is a big thing in society and I think this uniform kicks them up to the next level. I’m really proud of these ladies and gentlemen. They work hard every day and they deserve a nice looking uniform to be out there on the streets and protecting the citizens of Midland County,” said Sheriff Criner.
The first deputies to wear the new uniforms are those stationed at the Midland County Courthouse.
Patrol officers will begin earing them when more uniforms arrive.
