MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - Since 1963, the High Sky Children’s Ranch has been a part of the Midland skyline.

The ranch was first started as a home for girls who had no place to go by Joan Nobles. In 1985, the ranch changed to help both boys and girls in an effort to keep siblings together.

JaLynn Hogan has been with High Sky Children’s Ranch for 30 years. She has seen the facility grow, which now includes a newly-built therapy center.

Hogan says they have recently seen an increase in abuse cases.

The ranch works with CPS to help kids and families stay together.

Hogan says by w working with the whole family, they try and address their problems while getting them the help they need.

Thanks to the Permian Basin Gives Telethon, they are hopeful that West Texans will pitch in to help them continue their work.

They can’t do it without you.
