WINKLER COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - Millions of gallons of water were lost on Tuesday in Winkler County.

According to the Winkler County Sheriff’s Office, a frac pond wall collapsed, causing a massive freshwater leak. The estimated loss is more than three million gallons worth of water.

That water spread to FM 874 and submerged part of the roadway.

The sheriff’s office says that the plant responsible for the frac pond has been notified and is on-site.
