COVID in the Basin app launches to help residents navigate coronavirus data and book appointments
ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) -
The City of Odessa has launched a new app and website to connect you with all you need to know about the coronavirus.
The COVID in the Basin app offers the latest data on coronavirus cases in Midland and Odessa. Even more importantly, the app shows you where you can get a covid test or a vaccine and links you to the right resources to schedule an appointment.
Venu Yankarla, the app’s creator, said it will not only come in handy now but also in the future if another health crisis emerges.
“The content can be added or updated easily. In the sense that this can be used for future pandemics,” Yankarla said. “The same framework can be used for any future thing.”
The COVID in the Basin app can work in both English and Spanish and it is all for free.
